• Oakwood resident Nancy Bain shared her concerns about insecticides causing harm to the environment.

LEGISLATION
Oakwood City Council approved the following legislation:

• An Ordinance to appropriate $120,000 for the purchase of a used medic vehicle, Vice Mayor Byington

Oakwood City Council conducted a first reading and conducted a public hearing on the following legislation:

• An Ordinance to consider a zoning map amendment to consolidate two (2) residentially-zoned lots at 409 Rubicon Road into the same residential zoning district, Vice Mayor Byington

STAFF REPORT
Finance Update: Finance Director Cindy Stafford referenced a PowerPoint presentation and updated Council on the following topics: 2021 year-end Audit; 2021 Auditor of State’s StaRS Program; and 2022 Financials through September 30, 2022.

AN OAKWOOD MOMENT
Councilmember Leigh Turben shared a “pay it forward” story about several Oakwood residents taking action to make a day special for someone else.

CITY MANAGER’S REPORT
City Manager Norbert Klopsch updated Council on the following topics: Harman third grade tour; Gardner Pool deck reconstruction; Sidewalk, Curb and Driveway Apron Project; annual community document shred; annual fall leaf collection; 2023 Budget; and Family Fall Festival.

COUNCIL COMMENTS

• Vice Mayor Steve Byington encouraged everyone to read and understand the issues on the November ballot, and then take the time to vote.
• Mayor Bill Duncan commented on the Harman third grade tour of City Hall.
