AN ORDIANCE CREATING A NEW FUND FOR GRANT RECEIVCED BY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY AS TO TORNADO SIREN PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION

WHEREAS, the Delaware County Emergency Management Authority receives funds from its operations, general fund revenue of the county and other sources;

WHEREAS, the Delaware County Emergency Management Authority has made application to the American Electric Power (AEP) Foundation for the purchase of tornado siren purchase and installation to be used for transmitting severe weather information;

WHEREAS, the grant has been approved by the AEP Foundation to help with the cost of the purchase of tornado siren device;

WHEREAS, it is necessary to establish a new fund in the Auditor’s Office into which the proceeds will be deposited;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DELAWARE COUNTY, INDIANA THAT:

1. 1.
   The Delaware County Auditor shall establish a fund entitled Delaware County Emergency Management Authority AEP Foundation Tornado Siren Grant and said Auditor has issued a budget fund number of 8151 with respect to these funds.
2. 2.
   Such funds are non-reverting, and the expenditure of said funds shall not require appropriation by Delaware County Council.
