City Manager Transition: Mr. Klopsch reported on planning underway in regard to his retirement and arrival of Katie Smiddy, City Manager Designate.
October 21 Council/Staff Retreat: Mr. Klopsch noted that the October 21 retreat will take place at the city building and not at Smith Gardens.

At 7:13 p.m., Council moved to an executive session for personnel matters.

At 7:23 p.m., Mayor Duncan concluded the executive session and Council moved to regular session.
