REFUSE RATES: Refuse rates were last increased in 2019. There are cost increases related to labor, refuse/recycling disposal, fuel and capital equipment. A proposed rate increase will be recommended in 2025 from the existing $30/month rate to $35/month.

Mayor Duncan reported that Mr. Klopsch is retiring in November and his last day with the City is October 31. An open house to recognize his achievements is scheduled from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, November 7 at the Oakwood Community Center. Invitations are being prepared and will be mailed soon. City Council hired The Management Advisory Group, LLC to guide the process of picking a successor to Mr. Klopsch. Council received 24 employment applications and as of last Monday narrowed it down to two after several interview sessions. Mayor Duncan noted that Council hopes to announce the selected candidate at the City Council meeting next Monday.
