APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE CONTRACT OF EMPLOYMENT FOR CITY MANAGER KATIE M. SMIDDY.

WHEREAS, Katie M. Smiddy has served as the City Manager for the City of Oakwood since November 1, 2024, pursuant to a contract of employment set forth in a letter agreement originally dated September 12, 2024, which was ratified and confirmed by this Council via Resolution No. 1925 on September 16, 2024; and

WHEREAS, as provided in said contract, Council has conducted a review of the City Manager’s job performance since that date, and wishes to update her contract of employment accordingly;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OAKWOOD, MONTGOMERY COUNTY, OHIO, THAT:

SECTION I.

City Council hereby adopts an amendment to the terms and conditions of the City Manager’s contract of employment. Said amendment is set forth in a letter dated February 2, 2026, attached hereto, which has been signed by both Katie M. Smiddy and Mayor William D. Duncan and is hereby ratified and approved.

SECTION II.

Except as expressly modified by the amendment attached hereto, the City Manager’s original contract of employment, adopted via Resolution No. 1925, shall remain in full force and effect.

SECTION III.

This resolution shall take effect as of the day of its passage.
