OAKWOOD CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION
NOVEMBER 4, 2019
The Council of the city of Oakwood, Ohio, met in a work session on Monday, November 4, 2019 in the conference room of the Oakwood Municipal Building, 30 Park Avenue. The Vice Mayor of the city, Steve Byington, presided.
Council members in attendance were Vice Mayor Steve Byington and Councilmember Chris Epley. Mayor William Duncan, Councilmember Rob Stephens and Councilmember Anne Hilton were excused absent. Staff in attendance were City Manager Norbert Klopsch and City Attorney Rob Jacques.
Vice Mayor Byington called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and began the work session by reviewing the agenda for the regular session this evening. Thereafter, Vice Mayor Byington led a discussion on the following work session agenda items:

STATUS REPORTS:
- Lieutenant Swear-In: Mr. Klopsch noted that Vice Mayor Byington will administer the Lieutenant Oath of Office this evening to PSO Damian Baggett.

VISITORS:
- Scarecrow Row Contest Winners: Vice Mayor Byington shared that he will recognize winners of the 2019 Scarecrow Row contest at the regular session this evening.
- 2019 Beautification Award Winners: Vice Mayor Byington mentioned that he will recognize recipients of the 2019 Beautification Awards. The awards this year were given for the months of May, June, July and August.

LEGISLATION: City Council discussed the following two items of legislation scheduled for the regular session agenda this evening:
- An Ordinance to amend 2019 appropriations to pay off the Ohio Police & Fire Pension Liability and to purchase a vehicle for the Director of Engineering and Public Works, Vice Mayor Byington
- An Ordinance to approve updates to the Traffic and General Offenses Codes, Mr. Stephens
- STAFF REPORT – NONE

- MISCELLANEOUS – NONE
At 7:20 p.m., Vice Mayor Byington concluded the work session and City Council moved to regular session.
