Commissioner Irene Hansen, Commissioner Tracy Killian, Commissioner Elect Jeff Chugg, Sheriff Travis Tucker, Clerk-Auditor Chelise Jessen, Recorder Shelley Brennan, Treasurer Stephen Potter, Library Director Daniel Mauchley, Deputy Attorney Tyler Allred, Building & Grounds Director Shane Jenkins, Landfill Director Hal Giles, Landfill Assistant Amanda Baum, and Commission Executive Assistant Melissa Hughes is taking minutes.

Commissioner Greg Miles, Wasatch Councilman Karl McMillan, Supervisor Clint Ercanbrack, and Board Member Spencer Park with Wasatch County.

Open the 2024 Budget

Clerk-Auditor Chelise Jessen presented the 2024 budget and said there is a surplus of $14,827,659. $12,504,727 will be moved to savings.

General Fund

Clerk-Auditor Chelise Jessen presented the tentative budget for 2025.

Duchesne County year 2025 preliminary budget is $56,453,639.00

  • Fund 10 – General Fund $32,706,070.00
  • Fund 11 – Roads $3,948,464.00
  • Fund 21 – Duchesne/Wasatch Blue Bench Landfill SSD $2,431,653.00
  • Fund 23 – Jr. Livestock $591,500.00
  • Fund 24 – Solid Waste $1,000,000.00
  • Fund 25 – UBMC (Villa) – Pass through $656,500.00
  • Fund 26 – Dedicated Funds – Sheriff $90,000.00
  • Fund 27 – Economic Development $458,640.00
  • Fund 31 –County Fair $410,650.00
  • Fund 34 – Municipal Building Authority $764,000.00
  • Fund 41 – Capital Project Fund $9,000,000.00
  • Fund 72 – Children’s Justice Center Grant $300,000.00
  • Fund 73 – Domestic Violence $35,000.00
  • Fund 74 – Grants ARPA LATCF $6,492,815.00

Commissioner Killian made a motion to accept the 2025 budget as presented.

Commissioner Miles seconded the motion. Commissioner Killian voted aye, Commissioner Miles voted aye, and Commissioner Hansen voted aye. The motion passed. *

Library Fund
