ORDINANCE NO. 2025-13

AN ORDIANCE CREATING A NEW FUND FOR GRANT RECIEVCED BY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AS TO WEATHER ADVISORY EQUIPMENT

WHEREAS, the Delaware County Emergency Management Authority receives funds from its operations, general fund revenue of the county and other sources;

WHEREAS, the Delaware County Emergency Management Authority has made application to the Duke Energy for the purchase of weather emergency communication devices to be used for transmitting weather emergency devices to transmit severe weather information;

WHEREAS, the grant has been approved from Duke Energy to help with the cost of the purchase of emergency weather devices ;

WHEREAS, it is necessary to establish a new fund in the Auditor’s Office into which the proceeds will be deposited;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DELAWARE COUNTY, INDIANA THAT:

  1. 1. The Delaware County Auditor shall establish a fund entitled Delaware County Emergency Management Authority Duke Energy Severe Weather Communication Devices Grant and said Auditor has issued a budget fund number of 9217 with respect to these funds.
  2. 2. Such funds are non-reverting and the expenditure of said funds shall not require appropriation by Delaware County Council.
