Emergency Management Update
Emergency Management Director Josh Phillips explained that the County is in critical fire weather. The engine has returned from Arizona. It is getting the needed maintenance. There was a mobile home fire last night in Tabiona. They didn’t see many fires over the weekend. There were a few dumpster fires in Roosevelt after hot fireworks were thrown away, but the Roosevelt Fire Department put them out. Commissioner Miles expressed his appreciation for Director Phillips helping him at the Tabiona Parade on Saturday. He hauled the restored 1953 fire truck to Tabiona and drove it in the parade.
Discussion & Consideration of Purchasing Two Fire Tenders
Emergency Management Director Josh Phillips explained that they are tactical fire tenders that Summit County is getting rid of. They are asking $10,000 because they recently replaced the skids on one of the fire tenders, and would like to recoup the cost. The parties discussed the tenders and the locations in the County where they will be located. Commissioner Killian made a motion to purchase the two fire tenders for $10,000 using Emergency Management’s budget. Commissioner Chugg seconded the motion. Commissioner Killian voted aye, Commissioner Chugg voted aye, and Commissioner Miles voted aye. The motion passed.
Discussion & Consideration of Appointing a NACO Annual Meeting Delegate
Commissioner Miles explained that he and Commissioner Chugg plan to attend the NACO Annual Meeting and need to appoint a voting delegate. Commissioner Killian made a motion to appoint Commissioner Chugg as the voting delegate for the NACO Annual Meeting. Commissioner Miles seconded the motion. Commissioner Killian voted aye, Commissioner Chugg voted aye, and Commissioner Miles voted aye. The motion passed.

Deputy Clerk-Auditor Janet Jenkins presented four new business licenses:
- Sunnyside of Upalco Goat & Egg Farm LLC, owned by Carol Dawn Lane, Bluebell, Utah.
- Turnbow Real Estate LLC, owned by Carol Turnbow, Tabiona, Utah.
- Little Valley Leatherworks, LLC, owned by Jessie Stegmeier, Tabiona, Utah.
- Manning School of Horseshoeing, owned by Jacob Manning, Roosevelt, Utah.
