OAKWOOD CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION
APRIL 9, 2024
The Council of the city of Oakwood, Ohio met in a work session on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 in the conference room at the city building, 30 Park Avenue. The Mayor of the City, William Duncan, presided.
Council members in attendance were Mayor William Duncan, Vice Mayor Steve Byington, Councilmember Rob Stephens, Councilmember Leigh Turben and Councilmember Healy Jackson. Staff in attendance was City Manager Norbert Klopsch.
Mayor Duncan called the work session to order at 5 p.m. and led a discussion on the following work session agenda items:

- Harman Boulevard: Mr. Klopsch shared that staff is ready to begin project design for building a median on the 400 block of Harman Boulevard.

MISCELLANEOUS
- MCD Readjustment of Appraisal Benefits: Mr. Klopsch commented on the Miami Conservancy District’s (MCD) Readjustment of Appraisal of Benefit for Oakwood’s Flood Protection System. Three Oakwood residential properties are now located within the MCD flood plain and are subject to annual assessment. The city is also subject to assessment given that Old River Trail, a public roadway, is in the flood plain.
At 5:21 p.m., Council moved to an executive session for personnel matters, property matters and security arrangements.
At 7:07 p.m., Mayor Duncan concluded the executive session and adjourned the meeting.
