between 15 and 19 years of prior experience shall receive a Longevity Experience Pay increase of $3,000.00 paid in equal payroll installments throughout the year.

Sheriff’s Deputies, Corrections Officers and 911 hourly employees with between 20 and 24 years of prior experience shall receive a Longevity Experience Pay increase of $4,000.00 paid in equal payroll installments throughout the year.
f.
Sheriff’s Deputies, Corrections Officers and 911 hourly employees with 25 years of experience or greater shall receive a Longevity Experience Pay increase of $5,000.00 paid in equal payroll installments throughout the year.
B.
A prior year of experience shall be determined as of the annual anniversary hire date. Employees shall be entitled to receive their respective Longevity Experience Pay effective January 1st of the year following their employment anniversary.
C.
The Delaware County Auditor’s Office shall establish and/or maintain a longevity experience pay line within the appropriate budgets for the purposes of handling these payments.
D.
The foregoing shall be subject to the annual budget appropriation of the Delaware County Council.
EFFECTIVE DATE
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect beginning January 1, 2026, and until December 31, 2026, after which it shall expire and be of no further force or effect unless renewed by a majority vote of the Delaware County Council from year to year.
