Keep Your Memories Alive at the Randy Coleman

MEMORY LAB

In an emergency evacuation, what would you grab in those precious few minutes?

Most people prioritize family photos—right alongside wallets, phones, and medications. Photos are irreplaceable documents of our lives. They also trigger dopamine release, reinforcing our bonds with loved ones. Which makes preserving them essential. But digitizing equipment and services are expensive and complicated.

Library patron Justin had boxes of old 35mm slides. With his mother's birthday approaching, he wanted to create a surprise slideshow. Commercial services were too expensive. Then he discovered the Memory Lab. He’ll now recommend it to friends with slides, movies, and photos.

"Honestly, I was really surprised, I always thought of the library as just a place to pick up a book. I never imagined it would offer something like this. This service makes it feel doable and accessible for anyone."
