The Planning Commission of the City of Oakwood met in regular session at 4:30 p.m. in the council chambers of the City of Oakwood, 30 Park Avenue, Oakwood, Ohio 45419.
The Chair, Mr. Andy Aidt, presided and the Clerk, Ms. Lori Stacel, recorded.
Upon call of the roll, the following members responded to their names:

Mr. Aidt shared that Mr. Lauterbach requested recusal due to prior work with the applicant.
It was moved by Mrs. Gowdy and seconded by Mr. Aidt that his absence be excused; the motion was approved by viva voce vote.
Mr. Aidt conducted a brief organizational meeting to select the chair and vice chair for 2026. Mrs. Gowdy moved to retain Mr. Aidt as chair, seconded by Mr. Byington. Mr. Byington moved to retain Mrs. Gowdy as vice chair, seconded by Mr. Aidt. Upon a viva voce vote on the question, the motion passed unanimously and it was so ordered.
Mr. Aidt asked if there were any questions or concerns with the minutes from the March 5, 2025, meeting. There being none, it was moved by Mr. Byington and seconded by Mrs. Gowdy that the minutes be approved as submitted and the reading thereof be dispensed with at this session. Upon a viva voce vote on the question of the motion, the same passed unanimously and it was so ordered.
Mr. Aidt provided an overview of the meeting agenda and reviewed the meeting procedure with all in attendance. He explained that with only three members in attendance, it would take a unanimous vote of all three to transact business. He then invited Mrs. Valentin to present the staff report for Application 26-1.
Mrs. Valentin shared that Application #26-1 is an application filed by Lindsay Woodruff and Lauren Gay, owners of Swoon Books & Wine, requesting extended hours of operation located at 2504 Far Hills Avenue. Swoon Books & Wine is a romance-focused bookstore and wine bar opening soon in the Shops of Oakwood at 2504 Far Hills Avenue. They received an Occupancy Certificate on December 16, 2025, to operate as a bookstore and wine bar in the Community Business District (CBD).
