V. PHYSICAL EFFORT AND WORK ENVIORNMENT:

Incumbent performs duties in retail establishments, in a vehicle, in a manufacturing setting, in a storeroom, and outdoors, involving sitting/walking at will, standing/walking for long periods, lifting/carrying objects weighing over 50 pounds, pushing/pulling objects, bending, reaching, crouching/kneeling, close/far vision, depth perception, hearing sounds/communication, speaking clearly, and handling/grasping/fingering objects. Incumbent’s works near chemicals, fumes, odors, exposure to extreme temperatures and varying weather conditions, work in wet/icy surroundings, walks on uneven terrain, works in noisy environments such as factories and automobiles, works in confined areas, may work off ladders, and must wear protective clothing or equipment with high visibility. Incumbent may be exposed to irate or violent individuals and respond to situations involving potential physical harm to self or others.

Incumbent is occasionally required to work weekends, extended, and/or evening hours and occasionally travel out of town for conferences and/or meetings, sometimes overnight. Incumbent is occasionally required to respond to emergencies on 24-hour basis.
