TO REPEAL ORDINANCE NUMBER 4873 AND ESTABLISH AN AMENDED PERSONNEL SCHEDULE DATED DECEMBER 9, 2019 AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OAKWOOD, MONTGOMERY COUNTY, OHIO, THAT:
SECTION I.
Ordinance No. 4873 adopted December 10, 2018, as amended by Ordinance No. 4890 on July 15, 2019, is hereby repealed.
SECTION II.
An amended Personnel Schedule attached hereto and dated December 9, 2019, is hereby ratified, confirmed and approved. This schedule authorizes the City Manager to increase the top rates of compensation for office, management, part-time, seasonal and support employees in the amount shown on the schedule. A copy of this Personnel Schedule has been filed with the Finance Director of the city of Oakwood and is made a part of this ordinance through the doctrine of incorporation by reference.
SECTION III.
It is hereby declared that this ordinance is an emergency measure to take effect immediately on the basis that it is necessary to implement these Personnel Schedule changes and adjustments in maximum compensation as quickly as possible in order to maintain morale and promote efficiency and on the basis of the public peace, health, safety and welfare. The compensation increases for the classifications covered by the Personnel Schedule shall be effective commencing with the pay period beginning December 23, 2019 and shall remain in effect until otherwise amended.
