2600 Far Hills Building: Mr. Klopsch noted that he and Mr. Weiskircher recently met with representatives from Kettering Health Network to discuss their preliminary plans for major improvements to the 2600 Far Hills Building. These improvements are tentatively scheduled to take place in 2018 and 2019.

Schools Facility Study: Mr. Klopsch reported that he recently met with Dr. Kyle Ramey and Treasurer Kevin Philo from the Oakwood Schools to discuss issues relating to the 2017/18 School Facility Study. The discussion included addressing issues relating to the city-owned property at Wright Library, Irving Field and Old River.

Shafor Park Tennis Courts: Mr. Klopsch noted that staff is proceeding with plan preparation for the 2018 Shafor Park Tennis Facility Project. Staff will meet with neighboring residents this Wednesday to present the five court plan. Mr. Klopsch also noted that the Oakwood Schools have committed to paying 25% of the facility construction cost and to share in future maintenance costs. Staff is preparing an agreement on this matter.

Shroyer Road: Mr. Klopsch reported that the new roadway continues to function properly and the city has received numerous compliments on the new lane design.

Ridgeway Road Bridge: Mr. Klopsch presented information on the citizen survey completed by the city of Kettering. Most survey respondents requested that the existing bridge be replaced with a similar structure that would accommodate both pedestrian and vehicular traffic. Mr. Klopsch explained that the city of Kettering has requested Oakwood's support in applying for state and federal project funding. Council expressed their support for this request, but not for providing any direct financial assistance from Oakwood.

First Suburbs, Vice Mayor Byington

2018 Citizen Committee Appointments: Mr. Klopsch explained that staff believes that all existing committee members should be invited to serve another term, if desired. Mayor Duncan will begin to contact the existing committee members to inquire of their interest.
