Emergency Management Update
Emergency Management Director Josh Phillips gave a weather and fire update. The weather forecast calls for cooler temperatures with afternoon showers. The parties discussed the Stage II Fire Restrictions, when they should be lifted, and that Ashley National Forest was never under the same restriction. A hazmat spill occurred by the Bridgeland turnoff on Highway 40; it is contained. He is working on the cleanup at the Centennial Event Center parking lot; a hydraulic spill occurred during the fair. The Little Horse fire is cleaning up nicely; they are just watching it now. It burned 119 acres. The crew member that was deployed has returned and is currently on R&R. He may deploy again, but should stay in Utah.
