Shafor Park Tennis Court Project: Mr. Klopsch reported that some asphalt base repair work is required at the northeast corner of the tennis courts. This unexpected work will take place over the next week or two and will delay the opening of the tennis facility by several weeks. Otherwise, the project is moving along well.

Streets & Alleys, Mr. Stephens

Deep Hollow Road: Mr. Klopsch explained that the southern half of Deep Hollow Road has never been dedicated as public right-of-way. To date, this roadway has been part of the Hills and Dales Park land owned by the city of Dayton. The City recently resurfaced this section of roadway after receiving a letter of commitment from the city of Dayton to dedicate a 50 foot right-of-way. Once dedicated, the cities of Oakwood and Kettering will approve a minor corporation line change so that the entire right-of-way will be within the Oakwood corporate boundary. This will effectively establish the section of roadway as an Oakwood public street.

Fiber Optic Project: Mr. Klopsch mentioned that MVCC continues to work on the fiber optic project. There remain unanswered questions in regard to the project cost and how it will be implemented, and to potential future revenues.

Dayton Bikeways and Trails: Mr. Klopsch mentioned that he would like to invite Matt Lindsay from MVRPC to an upcoming regular session of Council to give a presentation on regional bikeways and trails.
