AN ORDINANCE
TO SET THE MAXIMUM COMPENSATION OF THE OAKWOOD MUNICIPAL COURT CLERK, DEPUTY CLERK OF COURT, AND BAILIFF, AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OAKWOOD, OHIO:
SECTION I.
Ordinance No. 4969 adopted December 5, 2022, is hereby repealed.
SECTION II.
The maximum annual salary for the Clerk of the city of Oakwood Municipal Court shall be $64,510.60. The top rate of pay for the Bailiff of the Oakwood Municipal Court shall be $665.40 per month. In accordance with O.R.C. 1901.31 (C) (3), three-fifths of the annual compensation for these positions shall be paid from the treasury of this City and two-fifths from the treasury of Montgomery County.
SECTION III.
The top rate of pay for the Deputy Clerk of Court shall be $56,302.76.
SECTION IV.
The hourly rate for the part-time Probation Officer shall be $26.34
SECTION V.
The foregoing maximum annual salaries shall be effective with the pay period beginning December 18, 2023.
SECTION VI.
It is hereby declared that this ordinance is an emergency measure to take effect immediately on the basis that it is necessary to authorize such compensation as quickly as possible for the protection of morale among the court personnel and on the basis of preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare.

LEGAL NOTICE
Ordinance No. 4988 of the Council of the City of Oakwood, Ohio was passed on the 4th day of December, 2023. Said ordinance was enacted to determine the compensation of the Municipal Court employees, and to declare an emergency.
