Whereas, the NJ Department of Transportation Local Aid District III and the Division of Civil Rights and Affirmative Action have determined the bid by Top Line Construction Corp. complies with the bid specifications and includes all required documentation and has recommended the award of the bid; and

Whereas, the Borough Council has determined, for the reasons set forth below, that the bid of Top Line Construction Corp. is a responsive and responsible bid; and

Whereas, the Borough Council is desirous of awarding a contract to Line Construction Corp. for the Total Bid of $935,785.27 for the project.

Now, Therefore Be It Resolved on the (date) by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Somerville, in the County of Somerset and State of New Jersey, as follows:

1. This Bid award is subject to the review and approval of the Bid documents by the Somerville Borough Attorney.
2. Subject to the above condition, a contract in total amount of $935,785.27 is awarded to Top Line Construction Corp. for this project
3. The Mayor and Municipal Clerk are authorized and directed to execute all necessary documents to effectuate a contract with Top Line Construction Corp.

Whereas, the governing body of Somerville Borough desires to further the public interest by obtaining a grant from the State of New Jersey in the amount of approximately $20,000.00 to the following project:

Green Communities Inventory and CFMP Development

Therefore, the governing body resolves that, Brian G. Gallagher or the successor of the of Mayor is authorized (a) to make such application for such grant, (b) if awarded, to execute a grant agreement with the state for a grant in an amount not less than $20,000.00 and not more than $20,000.00 and (c) to execute:

X   any amendments thereto.
o   any amendments thereto which do not increase the Grantee’s obligations.
o   no amendments thereto.
