A new position of Director of Personnel and Properties will be filled by Jennifer Wilder on Monday, February 12. This position was created at the end of last year when the assistant city manager position was removed. Mrs. Wilder has 18 years of experience in local government and comes to Oakwood from the city of Centerville. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Miami University and a Master of Business Administration from Wright State. She will be Oakwood's human resources director and will oversee all matters relating to public and private properties in Oakwood including residential property, commercial property, property maintenance, property improvements (zoning), property development (planning) and property beautification. Mr. Klopsch shared that he will introduce Mrs. Wilder at the March City Council meeting.

COUNCIL COMMENTS

Mrs. Hilton thanked Crossing Guard Gary Haines for his service to the community. She added that he not only helps the kids with crossing the street, but he also shovels snow and rakes leaves to ensure safety.

Mr. Stephens reported that the annual New Resident Breakfast is on Saturday, March 17 at the Oakwood Community Center. He encouraged all new residents to attend.

Mayor Duncan shared that both he and Vice Mayor Byington may be unable to attend the March 5 Council meeting, so the meeting may need to be rescheduled to Monday, March 12. Once the date has been finalized, the meeting schedule will be communicated to the media and placed on the city's website.
