BCC COURSE DESIGN TEMPLATE

Based on OEI Course Design Rubric

Important Notice:

All online, hybrid, and web-enhanced courses utilizing the Canvas LMS are required to follow the BCC Course Design Template and the OEI Course Design Rubric adopted by Barstow Community College. These courses must:

  • Follow the OEI Course Design Rubric
  • Follow the BCC Equity Rubric
  • Utilize the BCC Course Design Template which contains:
    • A customized Home Page with links to pre-course information and overview pages
    • Weekly/Unit overview pages that links to all instructional content, assessments, and other activities within that specific week/unit
  • Course material are neatly and logically organized inside modules
  • The DEITC welcomes suggestions/proposals for a different course design for review and consideration
  • Any deviation from the course design must be approved by the DEITC

Minor revisions are approved almost every semester.
