CITY OF KETTERING

This letter is to express the City of Kettering’s support for the City of Oakwood’s proposal to make improvements to Shroyer Road within the City of Oakwood. The proposal includes adding raised medians, reducing the number of vehicular travel lanes from two to one in each direction, and adding bicycle lanes in both directions. The proposed improvements are expected to result in lower traffic speeds and safer conditions for pedestrians to cross Shroyer. In addition, the City of Kettering is happy to be partnering with the City of Oakwood on a joint project that will resurface Kettering’s portion of Shroyer Road at the same time the proposed improvements are made to Oakwood’s portion of Shroyer.
