I am writing in support of the City of Oakwood’s proposed Shroyer Road transportation improvement project. We understand the project will not only include roadway improvements, but also add raised medians and reduce the travel lanes from two to one along Shroyer Road to the city of Dayton corporate limits. The addition of the bike lanes also coincides with Dayton’s efforts to create a more bicycle friendly community. We have had an opportunity to review the road diet plan and agree that the slower traffic pattern through the residential neighborhood and the improvements will be beneficial to both cities.
