• Safety & Traffic, Mr. Stephens
  • Scooters and Bikes: Mr. Stephens explained efforts underway with Oakwood Junior High Principal Tim Badenhop to promote the safe use of scooters and bikes around the city. Chief Alan Hill and Attorney Rob Jacques will work with Mr. Badenhop and students from Oakwood Junior High to create a series of short videos focused on the safe use of scooters and bikes.

  • Oakwood Inclusion Coalition, Mr. Klopsch
    • Annual Report: Mr. Klopsch mentioned that representatives from the OIC will likely attend the March 6 council meeting to deliver the organization's 2022 Annual Report. Mr. Jacques commented on his experience over the past two months as city liaison to the OIC.
• BOARDS & COMMISSIONS
  • Historical Society, Mrs. Turben
    • Historic Marker Program: Mr. Klopsch reported that discussions are still underway regarding the placement of a historic marker at Hawthorn Hill.
    • Century Home Marker Program: Mr. Klopsch stated that the Oakwood Historical Society recently launched the century home program. Mrs. Turben mentioned that there is already significant interest in this program that celebrates Oakwood homes over 100 years old.
• MISCELLANEOUS
  • Citizen Committee Appointments: Council discussed the status of addressing 2023 committee needs and a plan for contacting candidates.
  • Aggregation: Mr. Klopsch distributed an updated White Paper entitled "Natural Gas and Electricity Purchasing in Ohio" and reported that MVCC will seek proposals from utility suppliers over the next few months. Council discussed the pros and cons of opt-in vs. opt-out energy aggregation.

At 7:01 p.m., Council moved to an executive session for property matters.

At 7:25 p.m., Mayor Duncan concluded the executive session and Council moved to regular session.
