- STAFF REPORT – FINANCE DEPARTMENT: Mr. Klopsch mentioned that Finance Director Cindy Stafford will give a brief report this evening.

- Planning & Zoning, Vice Mayor Byington
- Little Acorn Academy: Mr. Klopsch reported that the Planning Commission met last Wednesday and approved an application for construction of a playground at the Little Acorn Academy. The academy is a special use at St. Paul’s Church originally approved as Grace Learning Academy of Oakwood.
- Inner Dance Yoga: Mr. Klopsch mentioned that this yoga studio recently moved from the 2600 Far Hills building to St. Paul’s Church, but did so without zoning approval. The use is not a permitted use in this R-4 residential zoning district, nor can it be approved as a special or conditional use. Staff will meet with representatives from St. Paul’s Church and Inner Dance Yoga to inform them that the use must cease.
- Safety & Traffic, Mr. Stephens
- Electric Scooters: Mr. Klopsch reported that the Safety Department is finding very few electric scooters illegally parked along Irving Avenue in Oakwood. When they are occasionally parked on the south side of Irving, the scooter company quickly retrieves them.
- Fire Arms Law: Mr. Jacques explained that the January 6, 2020 regular session agenda will include an ordinance updating the city codification to comply with new state law addressing the use of firearms.

- Citizen Committee Appointments: Council reviewed the list of committee members where existing terms are expiring.
- Council Committee Assignments: Council reviewed the 2020 committee assignments. New assignments will be confirmed at the January 6, 2020 regular session.
- Director of Engineering & Public Works: Mr. Klopsch reported that he will publicly introduce Doug Spitler, the new Director of Engineering and Public Works, at the January 6, 2020 regular session. Mr. Spitler’s first day is on January 6, 2020.
At 6:10 p.m., Mayor Duncan concluded the work session and City Council moved to regular session.
