Police Chiefs/NAACP Press Conference: Mr. Klopsch commented on the press conference that was conducted on Monday, November 9. It was well done and reflected a positive and cooperative working relationship between the NAACP and area police departments. The conference addressed several of the police reform recommendations proposed by the Dayton Unit of the NAACP. Chief Alan Hill spoke at the conference addressing plans to purchase vehicle and body cameras for the Oakwood Public Safety Department.

Scooters, Skateboards and Skates: Mr. Jacques reviewed a draft ordinance addressing the use of scooters, skateboards and skates in Oakwood. The ordinance will permit certain uses on Oakwood roadways and sidewalks. The ordinance will be presented to Council at the December 14 meeting.

20% Franchise Fee Rebate: Mr. Klopsch commented on the 2021 budget message prepared by MVCC Executive Director Jay Weiskircher. That message suggests that the 20% franchise fee rebate implemented in 2006 will soon be reconsidered. Mr. Klopsch suggested that the 20% rebate will likely be discontinued as a means of addressing MVCC budget shortfalls.

2021 Committee Needs: Council discussed the list of 2021 citizen committee needs. Mayor Duncan will begin contacting current committee members to determine if they wish to be considered for an additional term.
At 6:20 p.m., Mayor Duncan closed the work session and Council moved to executive session for personnel matters.
At 6:46 p.m., Mayor Duncan concluded the executive session for personnel matters and the meeting was adjourned.
