    • RTA Trolley System: Mr. Klopsch noted that he, along with officials from the city of Kettering, recently met with the RTA Executive Director and received confirmation that RTA plans to remove all overhead trolley system infrastructure in Oakwood. City staff will work with RTA staff to accomplish this task before the 2024 resurfacing of Far Hills Avenue. The existing trolley system is obsolete and no longer in use.
  • REGIONAL AGENCIES
    • First Suburbs, Vice Mayor Byington
      • September 27 Meeting: Mr. Klopsch reported that he joined former Mayor Judy Cook and Councilmember Leigh Turben in attending the September 27 First Suburbs meeting. The meeting included a very lively discussion on housing, including topics such as: affordable housing; apartments; rental housing; property maintenance; and vacant/abandoned properties.
      • Strategic Planning: Mr. Klopsch mentioned that he was asked to chair an ad hoc committee of First Suburbs to discuss strategic planning and possible changes to the mission and purpose of the Dayton First Suburbs organization. The first meeting is next Tuesday.

At 7:20 p.m., Mayor Duncan concluded the work session and Council moved to regular session.
