The Council of the City of Oakwood, Ohio, met in a work session on Monday, April 7, 2025, in the conference room at the city building, 30 Park Avenue. The Mayor, William Duncan, presided.
Council members in attendance were Mayor William Duncan, Vice Mayor Steve Byington, Rob Stephens, Leigh Turben, and Healy Jackson. Staff members were City Manager Katie Smiddy and City Attorney Rob Jacques. Public Safety Director Alan Hill also attended a portion of the meeting.
Mayor Duncan called the work session to order at 6:30 p.m. and reviewed the agenda for the regular session this evening. Thereafter, he led a discussion on the following agenda items:

STATUS REPORTS: Council discussed the following status report scheduled for the regular session this evening:
- PSO Swear-in: Mayor Duncan mentioned that he would administer the Oath of Office to Public Safety Officer Nathan Arndt. Chief Hill will introduce him.
- Girl Scout Gold Awards
- Proclamation recognizing the week of April 22 as “Arbor Week.”
- Proclamation recognizing April 6 – April 12 as “National Library Week.”
