    • Mrs. Smiddy updated Council on a few staffing matters, including the possibility of bringing in temporary help for the tax division via Shared Resource Center while the Tax Administrator is on leave.
    • Mrs. Smiddy invited Chief Hill to join the work session for a discussion on the impact of UD’s recent St. Patrick’s Day celebration on the adjacent Oakwood neighborhood. The Safety Department maintained a strong presence throughout the day, issuing 35 Oakwood parking tickets and a number of additional Dayton parking tickets and responding to a single call for service. The discussion also touched on issues involving student rentals along Irving Avenue, and Mr. Jacques reviewed key provisions of the City’s residential group rental ordinance with Council.

At 7:25 p.m., Mayor Duncan concluded the work session, and Council moved to regular session.
