Commissioner Irene Hansen, Commissioner Greg Miles, Commissioner Tracy Killian, Deputy Attorney Tyler Allred, Public Works Director Mike Casper, Public Works Deputy Director Clint Curtis, Economic Development Director Deborah Herron, Deputy Clerk-Auditor Becky Broadhead, Human Resource Generalist Tommi Mascaro, Human Resource Director Judy Stevenson, Electronic Records Director Cristina Nielson, Electronic Records Assistant Monica Berindean, Building Inspector Cody Fisher, Deputy Treasurer Connie Sweat, Deputy Treasurer Mindy Clegg, Assessor Traci Herrera, Duchesne County Resident Jeff Chugg, and Commission Executive Assistant Melissa Hughes is taking the meeting minutes.

Public Works Update

Public Works Director Mike Casper gave an update on existing projects and upcoming work. The fogging is going well and should be completed in one more week. The salt sheds are full. Three culverts were installed on Carlsons Road in Bluebell (CR258). Commissioner Miles said the resident called and thanked them for their excellent work. The Commissioners appreciated the road department's hard work and dedication to the County Roads. The parties discussed the fence being moved at the event center and needing dirt hauled in.
Presentation of Employee of the Month

Human Resource Director Judy Stevenson presented Electronic Records Assistant Monica Berindean with the August Employee of the Month Award. Deputy Treasurer Mindy Clegg and Deputy Treasurer Connie Sweat read the nomination letter they submitted. Building Inspector Cody Fisher expressed his appreciation for Ms. Berindean and all the help she provides for his department. Electronic Records Director Cristina Nielson said Ms. Berindean has an amazingly positive attitude and does everything with a smile. Assessor Traci Herrera echos everything that has been said. The Commissioners congratulated her on the well-deserved award and conveyed their gratitude for her ability to be a translator, her hard work, and her dedication to the county. Ms. Berindean thanked everyone for the award.
Auditors Office – Vouchers

Deputy Clerk-Auditor Becky Broadhead presented the August 05, 2024, vouchers, check numbers 165947 through 166029, for $417,306.79. The parties reviewed the vouchers submitted. Commissioner Killian made a motion to approve the vouchers for August 05, 2024, as presented. Commissioner Miles seconded the motion. Commissioner Killian voted aye, Commissioner Miles voted aye, and Commissioner Hansen voted aye. The motion passed.
Discussion & Consideration of Approach Permits

Public Works Deputy Director Clint Curtis presented two approach permits with an aerial map of the location. Berry Petroleum Company, LLC is applying for both approaches for an ingress and access road for the CJ Pad. The parties discussed the requests. Commissioner Miles made a motion to approve the approach permits as presented and authorize the chair to sign on behalf of the County. Commissioner Killian seconded the motion. Commissioner Miles voted aye, Commissioner Killian voted aye, and Commissioner Hansen voted aye. The motion passed.
