Discussion & Consideration of Road Base Request from Roosevelt City for Teddy’s Playground

Community Development Assistant Director Mike Gottfredson presented a letter from Roosevelt City APRC Chair Preston Kadleck requesting a donation of road base material to support improvements to the park. They are seeking a donation of one or more dump truck loads of road base. Deputy Attorney Grant Charles explained that the advisory committee needs to go through Roosevelt City before coming to the County. Commissioner Killian made a motion to allow them to go back to the city to request a donation. Commissioner Chugg seconded the motion. Commissioner Killian voted aye, Commissioner Chugg voted aye, and Commissioner Miles voted aye. The motion passed.

Discussion & Consideration of the BLM Granted Right-of-Way Amendment

Commissioner Miles explained the area and right-of-way for the County to sign. The right-of-way grants for UTU-81573 authorize the construction, widening, asphalt, operation, and maintenance, and a parking area along approximately 2.7 miles of the existing Wells Draw Road in Gate Canyon. The total acreage for this amendment is 24.5 acres. The work has been ongoing, and the right-of-way has been held up for a while. The parties discussed the right-of-way and the benefit it will provide for the County. Commissioner Chugg made a motion to authorize the chair to sign and approve the right-of-way. Commissioner Killian seconded the motion. Commissioner Chugg voted aye, Commissioner Killian voted aye, and Commissioner Miles voted aye. The motion passed.

Auditor's Office – Vouchers

Deputy Clerk-Auditor Oaklee Larsen presented the vouchers for May 11, 2026, check numbers 172828 through 172930, totaling $1,252,193.19. The parties reviewed the submitted vouchers.
