documents necessary to effectuate the Borough’s participation in the
Cooperative Pricing System.
3. The Borough of Somerville agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions of
the Cooperative Pricing Agreement and all applicable laws, rules, regulations,
and policies governing cooperative purchasing.
4. Participation in the Cooperative Pricing System shall not constitute authorization
for any particular purchase unless such purchase is otherwise authorized in
accordance with applicable law, the Borough’s adopted budget, purchasing
policies, and any required approvals.
5. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
6. All resolutions or parts thereof inconsistent with this Resolution are hereby
repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.

Department of Human Services for Somerville Youth Services Commission for the
2026 Abbreviated Annual Grant for Girls on the Run; SMS “Be Good” Positive
Behavior Support Raffles and Vanderbucks Intervention Program
Whereas, NJSA 40A 4-87 provides that the Director of the Division of Local
Government Services may approve the insertion of any special item of revenue in the
budget of any county or municipality when such item shall have been made available by
law and the amount thereof was not determined at the time of the adoption of the
budget; and
Whereas, said Director may also approve the insertion of any item of appropriation for
an equal amount; and
Whereas, the Borough of Somerville has received notice of an award of $6,000.00 from
County of Somerset Department of Human Services for Somerville Youth Services
Commission on the 2026-2027 abbreviated annual grant for girls on the run; SMS “be
good” positive behavior support raffles and Vanderbucks Intervention Program and
wishes to amend its 2026 Budget to include this amount as revenue.
Now Therefore, Be It Resolved, that the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Somerville hereby requests the Director of the Division of Local Government Services to
approve the amendment of an additional item of revenue in the budget of the year 2026
