Ms. Swackhamer stated that it was a monthly meeting and that attendance was very good.
Mr. Brand asked if she was making a recommendation for any changes to the committee.
Ms. Swackhamer stated no.
Mr. Brand made a motion to confirm the Plat Committee as stated. Mr. Ivy seconded the motion. Ms. Swackhamer called for all those in favor to say aye, those opposed same sign. Ms. Swackhamer stated that the ayes have it, the Plat Committee will serve for 2026.
Ms. Swackhamer stated that Kayla Ferguson was the new Zoning Appeals Planner, filling that position after Fred Daniel retired. She reported that President Smith had an upcoming presentation on the Footsteps of Lewis and Clark, and that if anyone wanted to sign up that she could do that for them.
Mr. Smith stated that he had received a grant to follow part of the trail and that it was a trip of a lifetime. He stated that as part of the grant he said that he would do a few presentations and that it had grown, and if anyone was interested in history, they would enjoy the photos he had to share.
Mr. Ivy asked if the starting point was in St. Louis.
Mr. Smith stated no, they did not travel the entire trail. He stated that they traveled the part in Montana and Idaho over a 10-day trip with half in the water and half in the mountains.
Ms. Swackhamer stated that she also had some regulations on fences from other counties for the Board’s information that she had provided to them for review.
