Chief Deputy Assessor Sheri Chafin presented a transfer of $300.00 from 106-101 Deputy Transfer/Sales 06 to 136 Educational Pay. Total transfer was $0.00.
Ms. Chafin explained that a newly hired employee holds an associate's degree and qualifies for educational incentive pay. The amount was prorated because the employee was hired approximately halfway through the year.

9220 Community Corrections Grant
Community Corrections Director Jayne Meranda presented a transfer involving unused salary funding from vacant positions. The request reduced the HD Case Manager line by $32,058.57, Surveillance Officer lines by $1,748.13 and $18,020.04, and increased FICA by $19,768.17 and PERF by $32,058.57. Total transfer was $0.00.
Ms. Meranda explained that the Department of Correction had reduced Community Corrections funding for 2027 by approximately $138,000, representing approximately two to three positions. Positions were intentionally left vacant in anticipation of the reductions. Alternate grant funding had been secured to help address reductions affecting Drug Court programming.

Community Corrections Director Jayne Meranda presented a transfer of $1,500.00 from 119-101 CAD Case Manager 19 to 130-101 CAD Case Manager 13. Total transfer was $0.00.
The department explained that the receiving employee had passed the required state examination and was now qualified to perform the position independently. The transfer reflected the incentive associated with passing the examination.

8194 JCC JUVENILE GRANT
Chief Probation Officer Jeff Hansard presented an appropriation totaling $100,000.00. The request included Probation Officer 01 - $58,473.00; FICA - $4,500.00; PERF - $7,050.00; Health Insurance - $7,500.00; Life Insurance - $500.00; Long Term Disability - $1,977.00; and Professional Services - $20,000.00.
Mr. Hansard explained that this was the third year of the Juvenile Community Corrections grant and that it funds a probation officer's salary and benefits as well as juvenile GPS monitoring. The current grant period provides funding through June 30, 2027.
