MUNCIE CONSTRUCTION

Contractor must provide:

4.1- A fully reinstalled courthouse bell and support structure that matches the current installation in all visible aspects.
4.2- A newly constructed round concrete foundation replicating the original.
4.3- Final site restoration and cleanup.
4.4- A written summary of work completed with photos of the final installation.
5. Contractor Qualifications

All respondents must include:

5.1- Proof of insurance and/or bonding in the amount of at least $250,000.
5.2- Demonstrated experience with historic preservation, structural relocation, or similar work.
5.3- Description of equipment and methods to be used for safe removal, transportation, and reinstallation. (See below)
6. Timeline & Schedule Requirements Bidders must include:
6.1- Estimated start date
6.2- Estimated completion date (Must be done by May 1, 2026)
6.3- Any potential work exceptions or limitations (e.g., weather dependencies, subcontractor availability, equipment scheduling, etc.)
6.4- A proposed sequencing of tasks, including site preparations, removal, transportation, reconstruction, and cleanup.
6.5- The County requests completion within a reasonable and efficient timeframe and may negotiate final schedule terms with the selected contractor and current site ownership.
7. Additional Requirements
7.1- Contractor is responsible for all permits, coordination with property owners, and traffic/pedestrian control if needed.
7.2- All work must comply with applicable codes, safety regulations, and historic preservation best practices.
7.3- Damage to any part of the bell or architectural elements will be the contractor's responsibility to repair or replace.
7.4- Contractors are encouraged to visit the existing site prior to submitting proposals.
7.5- Technical reviews will be conducted once responses are received and prior to contractor selection."
