Justification

White space is intentionally applied to match the grid format, helping users focus on relevant information (Lonsdale, 2023).
The layout is designed hierarchically, presenting overview information at the top and more detailed information as the user reads down the page (Lonsdale, 2023).
Font size and weight are used to create hierarchies of information within each section (Lonsdale, 2023).
To optimize readability for low vision users, chart headings and educational text are no smaller than 12-point font, and a sans serif typeface is used throughout the report (Russell-Minda et al., 2007).
Black text on all backgrounds of this report are well contrasted (Lonsdale, 2023).
Educational text is left aligned for legibility (Lonsdale, 2023)

Visual Field Variability

Hill-of-vision profiles are shown for the Left Eye and Right Eye. The legend identifies the cyan outline as “Expected hill of vision” and the black outline as “Mapped hill of vision this visit.”

The peak of the hill is your central vision, where clarity is highest. Moving towards the edges, vision becomes less sharp. The difference in the smoothness of the hill shape helps in diagnosing and monitoring eye conditions.
