The Delaware-Muncie Metropolitan Plan Commission held its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, July 9, 2026 in the Commissioners’ Court Room (309A) in the County Building, Muncie Indiana. President Chris Smith called the meeting to order.
Ms. Swackhamer called roll and the following members were present: Mr. Brand, Mr. Carroll, Mr. Dishman, Ms. Kring, Mr. Owen, Ms. Sipe, and Mr. Smith. Absent: Mr. Borchers, Ms. Hensley, Mr. Ivy, Mr. Landess, and Mr. Leach. Also present: Mr. Murphy, attorney for the Board.
Mr. Brand made a motion to continue the June, 2026 monthly meeting minutes. Mr. Carroll seconded the motion. Ms. Swackhamer called for all those in favor to say aye, those opposed, same sign. She stated that the ayes have it, June 2026 minutes continued.
Being a consideration of an appeal filed by Integrated Solutions, LLC, requesting a change in zone from the F Farming Zone to the BV Variety Business Zone at the premises of 7600 South State Road 67, Salem Township, Delaware County, Indiana, as more accurately described in the application.
Kathy Vannice, Ashton Land Surveyor, 325 W. Washington St., Muncie, Indiana, appeared to represent the applicant. She stated that the parcel was currently vacant and that the purpose of the rezoning was for a bathroom remodeling business to have a showroom. She stated that there was an existing garage and they would like to add on to store their trucks and to house a future showroom area and possibly mini warehouses. She stated that this was across the street from a parcel already zoned Variety Business and that this parcel had recently been platted. She stated that it was Lot #2 in Solutions Subdivision and was the only parcel they were requesting to be rezoned.
