DELAWARE-MUNCIE METROPOLITAN BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS

CALL TO ORDER: Chairperson Leslie Mathewson called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M. in the Commissioners’ Court Room, Rm 309A, 100 W. Main St., Muncie, Indiana.

• Member Absent: Mr. Hamilton and Mr. Ivy
• Counsel Present: Attorney Patrick Wright.
• A quorum of five members was present, and it was noted that four votes are required for official action.

Chairperson Leslie Mathewson reviewed the rules of procedure for the meeting. Attendees were requested to turn off or silence cell phones. She explained the public hearing protocol: the applicant presents first, followed by individuals speaking in favor, individuals speaking in opposition, and a final rebuttal by the applicant. She emphasized the necessity for polite and cordial decorum. Chairperson Mathewson noted that four matching affirmative or negative votes are required for final official action; if four votes are not achieved, the case is automatically continued to the subsequent meeting.

Ms. Swackhamer announced that five cases listed on the regular agenda would not be heard this evening due to continuances or procedural reclassifications:
