Yeah. I believe we'll have the approach from there next time we come in. That's okay.
We'll make a motion that we approve the permit as presented for 1622 south 10,000 west.
No seconds.
We have a motion now in a second to approve approach permit as stated above. All those in favor say aye. That is unanimous.
Thank you.
Anything else, gentlemen? Okay, thank you so much and have a great week.
Fleet vehicle
Okay, we do. We are going to go to discussion and consideration of purchasing a suite vehicle for the building department. I believe, just to give a little background. I believe it is for Cody Fisher, who of course, right now is our acting building official. As well as our only fully licensed building inspector.
He did have one of those vehicles that was on the one year lease. We did have the opportunity to keep that, but we realized the initial program we signed up for, it was not, turned out not to be as.
Such.
A good deal, as good a deal for the county as they once promised. We realized getting vehicles is hard.
Things have changed. And so we decided to go back to purchasing a vehicle on our own. Commissioner Miles, why don't you give. Is there more background that we should offer on that?
Yeah, so we tried out a lease and I think, as you mentioned, commissioner, when we first signed that lease, it was for $5,500 per year.
And gosh, you can't buy one yourself for that. So, I mean, and there are advantages to weigh, you know, such as you have no maintenance, you pay the $5,500 a year, you never have to change the oil because in a year it's gone. I mean, by the time you put on 8000 miles on these new vehicles, you might change oil once, but I mean, it's cutting down on any maintenance, you know, as far as what you're having to do, repairs or others. So when we first signed up for the lease, it was a good deal. We tried out two vehicles.
Of course, the next year it went up and then once again, they wanted to change the lease to do it was basically like you own it and then they would consign the vehicle for you at the end of the lease and it would be a three year. And so it changed drastically from where we started looking at leases. I think we take very good care of our equipment and our vehicles and.
