Be It Further Resolved that the appropriate municipal officials are hereby authorized and directed to take all actions necessary to effectuate the transfer of the equipment to Somerset County for inclusion in its public auction and to execute any documents required to complete the disposal process.

Amending Resolution 25-1215-334 to Authorize and Direct the Planning Board of The Borough of Somerville to Include Block 67, Lot 1 (2 Park Avenue) as shown on the Official Tax Map of the Borough in its Examination of Whether Certain Properties should be determined to be an area in need of Redevelopment, Specifically, a Non-Condemnation Redevelopment Area, Pursuant to the Local Redevelopment and Housing Law, N.J.S.A. 40a:12a-1 Et Seq., and Considered for Inclusion in the East Central Business District Redevelopment Area
Whereas, by Resolution 25-1215-334, adopted December 15, 2025, the Borough Council of the Borough of Somerville (the “Borough”) authorized and directed the Borough Planning Board to undertake a preliminary investigation to determine whether the properties located on Grove Street and East High Street, also known as Block 69, Lots 2, 3, 5, 6, 12, 14.01, 22, 23 and 24, as shown on the official tax map of the Borough (the “County Parcels”), should be determined to be “an area in need of redevelopment,” specifically a Non-Condemnation Redevelopment Area, pursuant to the Local Redevelopment and Housing Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:12A-1 et seq., and considered for inclusion in the East Central Business District Redevelopment Area; and
Whereas, the Planning Board has recommended that the preliminary investigation for determination of an area in need of redevelopment also be performed for the former dentist office located at 2 Park Avenue, also known as Block 67, Lot 1, as shown on the official tax map of the Borough (the “Additional Property”); and
Whereas, the Additional Property is not currently located within the East Central Business District Redevelopment Area, and the preliminary investigation will determine whether the Additional Property may be added to the East Central Business District Redevelopment Area; and
Whereas, the Borough Council desires to amend Resolution 25-1215-334 so that the Additional Property shall be included in the preliminary investigation for determination of an area in need of redevelopment currently being performed for the County Parcels; and
