1. The following surplus equipment is hereby authorized for sale to the Flagtown Fire Department:
    • Commercial Range & Oven
    • 60-inch width
    • 10 burners
    • Two (2) ovens
    • Natural Gas and Propane compatible
    • NSF/ETL Certified
    • Thermostat controlled
    • Stainless steel construction with galvanized components and cast iron grates
    • Restaurant heavy-duty model
    • 362,000 BTU capacity
  2. The purchase price for the above-described equipment shall be Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($750.00).
  3. The equipment shall be conveyed as-is, where-is, without any warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied, and the purchaser shall be responsible for all transportation, removal, installation, and any associated costs.
  4. The appropriate municipal officials are hereby authorized and directed to execute any documents and take any actions necessary to complete the sale.
  5. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption according to law.

Approving Chapter 159 from Governor’s Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse for 2026 Municipal Alliance Grant Program

Whereas, N.J.S.A. 40A 4-87 provides that the Director of the Division of Local Government Services may approve the insertion of any special item of revenue in the budget of any county or municipality when such item shall have been made available by law and the amount thereof was not determined at the time of the adoption of the budget; and

Whereas, said Director may also approve the insertion of any item of appropriation for an equal amount; and

Whereas, the Borough of Somerville has received notice of an award of $6,776.49 from Governor’s Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Municipal Alliance Grant Program and wishes to amend its 2026 Budget to include this amount as revenue.

Now Therefore, Be It Resolved, that the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Somerville hereby request the Director of the Division of Local Government Services to approve the amendment of an additional item of revenue in the budget of the year 2026 in the sum of $6,776.49 to be received from grants as revenue from:
