Issuing a Refund of Uncollectible Taxes

commonly known as 444 Catherine Streeet, Block 81 Lot 15.02

Whereas, on May 4, 2026 via Resolution 26-0504-147, Borough Council approved the cancellation and refund of uncollectible taxes effective October 3, 2025 for the reasons shown below, and

Whereas, on February 11, 2026, via check number 413473004 from Corelogic Tax Services, LLC, the Borough received a first quarter 2026 property tax payment that was credited to the mother lot (a/k/a Block 81, Lot 15), and

Whereas, on July 2, 2026, Corelogic requested a refund of said payment, and provided sufficient information to confirm the payment was intended for Block 81, Lot 15.02.

Now Therefore, Be It Resolved, by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Somerville, that a refund be issued to Corelogic for a first quarter 2026 overpayment on behalf of the property owner, and that the Collector be and is hereby authorized to adjust the records accordingly.
