Respondents may propose additional coverages that are commonly recommended for public entities, including:
- Crime / employee dishonesty
- Fiduciary liability
- Pollution liability
- Drone liability (if applicable)
- Volunteer accident coverage
V.
COMPREHENSIVE ASSET INVENTORY AND RISK ASSESSMENT
As part of the County’s 2027 insurance program, the selected Broker shall conduct, or coordinate at the Broker’s expense as part of the proposed services unless otherwise specifically identifies in the proposal, a comprehensive inventory and assessment of the County’s insurable assets and significant property exposures.
The purpose of this assessment is to:
- Establish an accurate and current inventory of County assets.
- Identify assets that are currently uninsured, underinsured, incorrectly classified, or unnecessarily insured.
- Establish accurate values for insurance underwriting and budgeting purposes.
- Identify property, casualty, liability, and other significant exposures.
- Improve the accuracy of the County’s Statement of Values.
- Identify opportunities to reduce insurance costs without unnecessarily reducing coverage.
- Identify risk-management opportunities that could reduce future losses.
- Establish a baseline database that can be maintained and updated annually.

Required Asset Inventory
The selected Broker shall develop and maintain a comprehensive electronic asset inventory containing, as applicable:
- County-owned buildings
- Leased buildings and facilities
- Building improvements
- Business personal property
- Furniture and equipment
- Computer and electronic equipment
- Servers and communications equipment
- Specialized law-enforcement equipment
- Highway and public works equipment
- Mobile equipment
