• 3. The Borough Administrator is hereby authorized to dispose of said vehicle by public auction, including through an online auction service authorized by the State of New Jersey, or, in the absence of acceptable offers, by sale as scrap, whichever is determined to be in the best interest of the Borough.
  • 4. The Borough Clerk, Chief Financial Officer, and Director of Public Works are hereby authorized and directed to take all actions necessary to effectuate the purposes of this resolution.

Authorizing Amendment to Delta Dental Contract and Authorizing Paige Elster to execute contract amendment and any related documents

Whereas, the Borough of Somerville provides dental insurance benefits to eligible employees; and

Whereas, the Mayor and Borough Council find that the extension and renewal of dental insurance coverage is in the best interest of the Borough of Somerville and its employees.

Whereas, Paige Elster, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), is authorized to execute the contract amendment and any related documents on behalf of the Borough of Somerville.

Be It Resolved, by the Borough Council of the Borough of Somerville, in the County of Somerset, State of New Jersey, that the current Delta Dental rates are hereby extended through December 31, 2026, and that the Borough approves the renewal of Delta Dental coverage for the period of January 1, 2027 through December 31, 2028 at the rates set forth herein.

This resolution shall be effective immediately upon its adoption.

Extending the Grace Period on Municipal Charges for Property Taxes and Special Improvement District Taxes

Whereas, due to a delay in the mailing of property tax and special improvement district tax bills the Borough of Somerville is extending the grace period for the 3rd quarter property tax and special improvement district payments; and

Whereas, the grace period for payment without interest on the 3rd quarter of 2026 tax and SID tax payments that are due August 1st is ten days.

Now, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Somerville hereby grant an additional grace period through and including August 31,
