Ms. Mathewson asked if they had talked to any of the neighbors and if so, had anyone expressed any opposition to the request.

Ms. Johnson stated yes, she had talked to several and that no one had mentioned any concerns to them.

Ms. Fritch asked if the proposed sign would be a ground sign

Ms. Johnsons stated yes.

No one appeared in opposition.

Ms. Knapp made a motion to approve BZA 06-26 the appeal filed by Raychelle Johnson with the hardship as stated in the application with the following conditions; 1) That the variance shall be for the applicant only and not transfer with the property; and 2) That all necessary approvals such as the Fire Department, Health Department, Building Commissioner, etc. be obtained prior to business starting. Ms. Fritch seconded the motion. Voting in favor: Mr. Billington, Ms. Fritch, Mr. Ivy, Ms. Kaiser, and Ms. Mathewson. Voting against: None. Motion carried, BZA 06-26 approved.

REPORT FROM DIRECTOR:

Ms. Swackhamer stated that she had provided the Board with her regular report and that if they had any questions, she would be happy to answer them. She stated that she had also given them a list of a few upcoming activities that they may be interested in including the IDEA conference and a presentation by the MPC Board President Chris Smith about a Lewis and Clark trip he took last year.
