The Community Survey was mailed to every residence and business in Oakwood in the 2003 June/July City/School Scene Newsletter. Approximately 4,600 surveys were mailed and nearly 600 surveys were returned.
Shown below are the results of this survey. The results provided valuable information in identifying the community issues and concerns and developing the community goals and objectives. However, given the method in which the survey was conducted, the results can not be used to reflect the feelings or opinions of the entire community. A telephone survey was conducted later in the project. This telephone survey was conducted in a manner where the results do reflect the feelings and opinions of the entire community. The results of this telephone survey are provided in the next section of this appendix.
