Mr. Leach stated that once purchased it would be around $183,000 and another $150,000 for improvements. He stated that they already pick up leaves to dispose of and that was maybe $40-$50,000 of labor and that it may cost $25,000 per year to operate.

Mr. Ivy asked if they had a window of time for those delivery trucks to be in that area.

Mr. Leach stated that it would be 10 trucks each day for that 6-8 week period in November and December from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. He stated that after that, it would be a tractor and truck occasionally to clean up the sight and for maintenance.

Mr. Hinds asked if there would be overtime hours for staff in leaf season.

Mr. Leach stated that the overtime in leaf season was due to de-bagging the leaves and was not usually more than an hour.

Ms. Knapp asked about the 3-ton weight limit on the road.

Mr. Leach stated for reference, anyone who owned a ¾ ton truck, it weighs 3-tons. He stated that in the 70’s and 80’s those restrictions were put in place and that if he enforced them, no trucks would be allowed on those roads. He stated that the road could handle it, so it was not an engineering problem.

Ms. Knapp asked what they would be repaving.

Mr. Leach stated that they would happily repave Wilson Road immediately and that Bennett Road was on next years schedule to be repaved.

Ms. Fritch asked what plants would be in the buffer to conceal the chain link fence.

Mr. Leach stated that they intended to hire a landscape architect and that it would be a mixture of native Indiana plants and more of a natural mix of oaks and hickories with no honeysuckle.

Ms. Hoff stated that she appreciated that the neighbors had concerns and that they hoped they had addressed some of them.

Ms. Mathewson asked if there was anything else that they may want to add to their presentation.

Mr. Leach stated that they cared about water safety and that they intended to have an anaerobic treatment pond to treat nitrates which is separated from the ground by and HDP liner which is something required by IDEM. He stated that the goal was to have cleaner water and would be better than the fertilizer used on the ground when it was an active farm.

Mr. Billington asked if they would be expanding the size of the site.

Mr. Leach stated no.

Ms. Mathewson asked how long the project may take.

Mr. Leach stated that they anticipated about 6 months for permitting through IDEM and that they would go above and beyond to leave it better than they found it.
