A. Retail Food Establishment.

The annual license fee shall be determined by risk type as assessed by the Borough Department of Health in accordance with N.J.A.C. 8:24, pursuant to the following schedule:

3 Has an extensive menu which requires the handling of raw ingredients; and is involved in the complex preparation of menu items that includes the cooking, cooling, and reheating of at least three or more potentially hazardous foods, or serves a highly susceptible population. $300
4 Establishment that conducts specialized processes such as smoking, curing, canning, bottling, and/or acidification designed to control pathogen growth, or any reduced oxygen packaging intended for extended shelf life. $300
B. Temporary Retail Food Establishment.

The fee for a temporary retail food establishment permit shall be fifty dollars ($50.00) per application. The completed Somerset County Department of Health Temporary Food Establishment Permit Application Packet and the permit fee shall be submitted to the Borough Department of Health at least 10 business days prior to the event. Payment shall be by check made payable to “Somerville Division of Health” and mailed to 25 West End Ave, Somerville, NJ 08876.

C. Temporary Retail Food Establishment for Retail Food Establishments

Any Retail Food Establishment participating in an event day or sidewalk sale as authorized by the borough or District Management Corporation shall complete the temporary food retail application and obtain approval, however no fee shall be assessed.

§ 133-3. Revocation of License; Hearing; Subsequent Licensing.

Any license issued under the terms and provisions of this chapter may be suspended or revoked by the Borough Department of Health for the violation by the licensee of any provision of this chapter or of N.J.A.C. 8:24, or whenever it shall appear that the business, trade, calling, profession or occupation of the
