with the Emergency Services Facility project in the total contract amount of $1,517,427.22; and
Whereas, all work required under the contract has been completed to the satisfaction of the Borough and the project has been recommended for closeout; and
Whereas, a retainage balance of two percent (2%) remains due and payable to Millennium Communications Group, Inc. in the amount of $30,348.54; and
Whereas, the Borough Administration recommends release of the retainage and final closeout of the contract.
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved by the Borough Council of the Borough of Somerville, County of Somerset, State of New Jersey, that the contract with Millennium Communications Group, Inc., 11 Melanie Lane, Unit 13, East Hanover, New Jersey 07936, is hereby approved for final closeout; and
Be It Further Resolved that the Borough Council hereby authorizes the release of the remaining two percent (2%) retainage in the amount of Thirty Thousand Three Hundred Forty-Eight Dollars and Fifty-Four Cents ($30,348.54) to Millennium Communications Group, Inc.
& disposal program at the Somerville Cemetery
Whereas, the Somerville Public Works Department had previously picked up leaves in a cooperative arrangement with the Somerville Cemetery, which included the donation of labor, delivery and disposal at no cost; and
Whereas, the costs for such services have risen, and the Borough of Somerville effective last year the Borough contracts and pays for the disposal of leaves and brush; and
Whereas, it is the intent for the Borough of Somervile to invoice the Somerville Cemetery for the disposal costs (excluding the labor), the labor will be donated by the Somerville, provided it is performed by Borough employees; and
Whereas, the work will be performed either at the end of the season or when time permits throughout the season.
Be It Resolved, by the Borough Council of the Borough of Somerville, in the County of Somerset, State of New Jersey approves that the Somerville Public Works Department shall perform a leaves pickup and disposal service at the Somerville Cemetery, whereby the cemetery shall pay for their disposal costs and the Borough of Somerville will donate the labor and the Somerville Cemetery shall provide the Borough of Somerville the required hold harmless and insurance coverage.
